Rotary's Purpose
The purpose of Rotary is to develop and promote the ideal of service as the foundation of all worthwhile endeavors, and in particular to encourage:
First, expand and cultivate human interaction as an opportunity for service.
Second, to promote high ethical standards in business and occupations, to recognize the value of all useful occupations, and to view each Rotarian's occupation as a valuable opportunity to serve society.
Third, each Rotarian practices the ideal of service in his or her personal, professional, and social life.
Fourth, we promote international understanding, goodwill, and peace based on a global friendship among business and professional people united by the ideal of service.
