Content: 'One Heart Festival' Held for North Korean Defectors
On April 19th, when warm spring sunshine enveloped the world, our Busan Rotary Club carried out meaningful service activities to spread love and hope to the local community. In particular, on this day, we hosted the 'North Korean Defector Unity Festival' to provide a gathering that conveyed warm hospitality and encouragement to our North Korean defector neighbors who have taken their first steps into our society.
We spent a joyful time sharing delicious food with the neighbors who attended. This sharing event went beyond simply delivering side dishes; it was a service filled with the sincerity of the Busan Rotary Club members who sought to present warm comfort to our neighbors. The faces of the participating members were full of smiles from start to finish, and they could not hide their pride in the warmth they would convey to their neighbors.
The Busan Rotary Club will continue to take the lead in providing practical assistance to diverse neighbors in the local community and building a warm community where everyone can live together in harmony.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the members who participated in this volunteer activity, as well as to the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Unification Sharing Association and its staff for their active cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the event. The Busan Rotary Club will continue to practice love for our neighbors with the unwavering spirit of 'Service Above Self' and serve as the salt of the earth.
